        Jasmine Tea and Poignancy


San Francisco and your soul's appeal.
Sitting in that Japanese Tea Garden.
You, whispering the readings of Lao Tzu.
Surrounded by the afternoon fog embracing 
us,so!
Swans swirled, serenely.
Enchanting, endless, eucalyptus leaves,oh!
We drank heavenly,hot jasmine tea.
And quietly wept over the child we lost.
To the prism of eternity.
Fog and tears mixed silently.

I see it as a painting. Re: sadness. People get attention by being sad, is my thought. Like, "He left me Poetry". I get it! We have all been there. Who hasn't lost a love? Music too, is about loss. This site has plenty of happy poems. I was trying to catch a moment in time, their loss happened, but they remained alive in the beauty of that SF setting. Panagiota xx
