James Cameron

James Cameron made it big with Avatar Again and again he raised the bar The film was tremendously beautiful But the plot was unoriginal But of course who could forget Titanic? Lenny plus heartbreak equals a classic! I've seen the ending, but that's not the point My girl swears that it won't disappoint Like or smite, have to admit you crave more Jimmy's is where it's at whether you're A fan of trees that store mem'ries aglow Or Leonardo DiCaprio

Gottah agree with that Avatar bit..I've seen some similar themes in Pocahontas to the movie as well. I do have to admit, though enjoying the movie, I fell asleep halfway through the first time I saw it. Nevertheless, a pretty(emphasis on pretty) entertaining film. My grandpa loves it, but he keeps calling the movie "Atari" and it drives me nuts!!! XD Always, Laura

"Atari" ... hahaha. Thinking of old video-game consoles, eh? It is a beautiful film for sure ... I guess I'm just picky on story plots.

I do agree, my favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption. I have watched it many times and I always find something new.

I thought the animation in Avatar was AMAZING... no other movie can really compare to it in it's artwork... however if you really pay attention to it the plot is VERY similar to Dances With Wolves (but in space)... maybe I'm just overly critical about movies, but I like movies where the plot sticks in your head long after you watch it...

He is an amazing dude. And I enjoyed this one, timothy. I always wonder what he must have been thinking when his ex wife pulled the rug right out from under him, beating out his avatar with her Hurt Locker.

This is news to me... I didn't know his ex was also a director! I think it's incredible how he has directed the two most expensive movies in all of history! (and both were extremely popular yet very different from each other)...
