Jade

you took me for a ride
and i just closed my eyes
you held my hand so long
when you let go, I cried

no one had filled this lack of feeling
now i feel the years
a point when no ones calling
i pressed on

i had a conflict
thought of you everyday
rather twist our painful fate
i smiled thin

the days grow grey
soon to turn myself
yet i still bite my tongue
silently holding on

all i have is thoughts
my powers slowly fade
forget a heart of gold
my heart is full of jade

sit recall our times
tho difficult in some
we came to find the love
unlike ive ever done

i knew what i had
selfish isnt my thing
principles kinda are
borrowed money for a ring

love and let them go
i thought once rang true
now i sit and wonder
 have i chased after you

i hate to compare
amnesia not a help
 life far from fair
neither how i felt

all i have is thoughts
my powers slowly fade
forget a heart of gold
my heart is full of jade
