Jade

There was a big
macho guy named
Jade.

When you saw him
he put you in the
mind of Andrew Dice
Clay.

Who wanted to be
a comedian. He often
thought it shouldn't
be that hard.

The thing was, once he got
 introduced the crowd
roared with laughter
without him saying a
word.

He was dumb founded .
He didn't think it would
be so easy. Jade got
really famous.

He changed his name to
Jayden.Said a few words
and got booed off the stage.

Cool and funny poem, Alexis. Very pointed humor. Says a lot about human nature, people don't like change much, or don't accept it easily enough. Good, smart write. Kudos. Much love to you.

People like us for what we are; changes might not appeal to them at all! Of course, it could also work the other way round:) ~ Regards // paul

I've known more males named Jamie in my lifetime than females, you write disproves the saying "would a rose by any other name smell as sweet" sometimes it is the name that proves a thing. hugs x

Why the name change to Jade??? It made me smile as if I'd had a little girl that is the name we'd chosen!:-) hugs Jan xx
