Notes About The Poem

Some moments were made . . .  to stay with us forever

Jacqueline

Just the other day I came across a picture of you with your horse
And was amazed to see how much we looked alike
Could it be true that you are mere words upon a cold stone
Quiet, beautiful and kind Jacqueline
Unbelievable you left this world on Mother's Day
Entangled, meshed, intertwined are our souls for eternity
Love is what you left with me
I am so proud to be the daughter of one such as you
Not a day will go by that you are not in my heart
Especially on Mother's Day

Your words are like a bouquet of flowers that brighten the senses and pay tribute to the love that was your mother. You have stored all the best your mother gave to you in your heart so that you may dispense it to others and they too can be touched by the experience. Congratulations on your win. Emile.

This touches my heart so deeply, dear Constance, for many reasons. The beauty is breathtaking, but also the fact that I too, lost my mother on Mother's Day, and since that day so long ago, that day in May is so bittersweet, with the love from my children, mixed in with one of the most difficult days of my life. Such an honor to share this spot with you.

She may no longer be with you but she has left you a heritage of beauty, BW. This beauty is apparent in everything you write. Congratulations! Honored to share with you the top spot. Kim :)

Awww, what a beautiful poem, my friend. Your mom looked lovely - yes, you are definitely a chip off the old block, as we say. Will read just a couple at random - sooo much catching up top do - but will be back later this week to read the rest x
