Jacqueline

Just the other day I came across a picture of you with your horse
And was amazed to see how much we looked alike
Could it be true that you are mere words upon a cold stone
Quiet, beautiful and kind Jacqueline
Unbelievable you left this world on Mother's Day 
Entangled, meshed, intertwined are our souls for eternity
Love is what you left with me
I am so proud to be the daughter of one such as you
Not a day will go by that you are not in my heart
Especially on Mother's Day

The beauty is breathtaking, but also the fact that I too, lost my mother on Mother's Day, and since that day so long ago, that day in May is so bittersweet, with the love from my children, mixed in with one of the most difficult days of my life.
