Jack Reed

I miss reading poetry written by my buddy, Jack,
A souper friend I wish he would come back.
One of the first to welcome me here to the soup,
I don’t know what happened to him, I didn’t catch the scoop.

We used to email a lot, and he would often ask for prayer,
And he would often pray for me, that is what friends do, they care.
So old Bud if your still looking in, I still call you friend,
I would still love to hear from you, don’t let this be the end.

Some of your stories would make me laugh, while others may have brought a tear,
I know you had a lot on your plate, but I know it was nothing more than you could bear.
My prayers are still with you where ever you’re at,
Just want you to know there are a lot of us here that miss you, just want you to know
that…………………God Bless!
    Your friend Ron

I hope Jack comes back too. Nice dedication to a encouraging souper. Friends in prayer are truly special. Going to check if he has been back since this poem. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for your kind words on my haiku. Blessings to you. Karen

Ronald, I know it is hard when you lose touch with a friend. We can all relate. It's awful not knowing what happened to them. I hope you can reconnect. I hope I can find such a friend on this site. Also, thanks for your comments on "Mr. Mark," an old poem from my college years. Bless you, Carolyn
