I'Ve Not Heard the Mockingbird
I’ve Not Heard The Mockingbird
I’ve not heard the Mockingbird lately sing
Nor the Whip-Poor-Will’s notes at dusk loudly ring
Their melodies are quiet to my listening ear
Silent are the warnings that I had learned to fear
Are the warnings no longer that valid
Have we as people strayed away pallid
Are we too fargone to come back to the way
Nothing is impossible with God_ nay
There’s a faint cooing listen to the Dove
He is tenderly calling come My love
Come back to our intimacy; my touch
Commune with me; from My cup always sup
Warnings are being sung each day repent
Change, change don’t to hell be bent
