I'Ve Made Mistakes
I've made mistakes, a few I think...
I've caused my share of rain.
But nothing out of scope or size
To cause an Angel shame.
I wish I had been perfect
But such a life is not to be.
Each blemish found... makes a sound
Throughout eternity.
So I live with my transgressions
Hoping forgiveness lies ahead.
Where I'll gladly return the favor
As others mock me in my stead.
Thus, perfection lies in shadows
And out of reach for you and me.
Let forgiveness be what binds us
As we tread mortality.
The End
