It's Not Too Late

Love always requires a sacrifice
often unpaid by weary hearts.

Flickering sparks don’t change the world.
Instead, love is an unquenchable fire
that destroys not sorrow
but rather selfishness.
It is not for the romanticism of death,
but for the hardships of life.

Love is not lost through change
but people unable to endure
the pain it brings.
It is not gained by bribery of the heart,
but by choice of the soul.
Love is not satisfaction of desire,
but setting yourself free to live.

Hold your tongue and unstop your ears.
Shut your eyes and open your arms.
It’s not too late.
