It's Not For Me No More - a Song

*Spoken* Man, let me tell you about this girl… She has a smile that shines on her face She has a smirk that can make my heart race She has a voice both powerful and soothing But it’s not for me no more Sometimes life goes by a little fast And when I think back, I feel like we had a blast Joking around a lot, I know that’s true But I also felt like, we had our serious moments too You were there for me, you with your listening ear Was it only one-sided though? - And that’s my biggest fear Being naive, and not thinking of your point of view I’m sorry, I messed up, what did I put you through? It might seem, I’m a bit caught up in the past I just want to know, is that what I did wrong, why it didn’t last? I miss that smile that would shine on her face I miss that smirk that would make my heart race I miss that voice both powerful and soothing But it’s not for me no more And I’m trying to keep my distance, But I just don’t understand You said that you wanted to stay “just friends” I just want a chance to make amends Now you nod instead of looking in my eyes Whenever I come close, you suddenly bid everyone goodbye It’s been a while since I’ve seen you laugh or seen you cry I know I can’t be your hero, but I don’t want to be the bad guy Please, won’t you tell me why? I will wait for your reply. She still has a smile that shines on her face She still has a smirk that can make my heart race She still has a voice both powerful and soothing I miss that smile that would shine on her face I miss that smirk that would make my heart race I miss that voice both powerful and soothing But it’s not for me no more She has a smile that shines on her face She has a smirk that can make my heart race She has a voice both powerful and soothing But it’s not for me no more But it’s not for me No it’s not for me no more
