Its Not Empty Its Full

Today I see a rainbow amid a stormy sky,
  I see the glass as full although is it's not;
Joy is present even if tears are behind the eye.

It isn't the end of the world if I say bye,
Even if I'm scared I will give it my best shot;
Today I see a rainbow amid a stormy sky.

My wings may be wounded, I know I'll fly,
A sad story can be beautiful with a good plot;
Joy is present even if tears are behind the eye.

Today I have chosen to stop asking why,
Bygones are in the past, today may be all I got;
Today I see a rainbow amid a stormy sky.

It may be challenge but I'll regroup and retry,
In rough times I try to remember life lessons taught;
Joy is present even if tears are behind the eye.


I'll sow seeds of kindness if seems it doesn't apply,
And try to good when a I feel like a tiny dot;
Joy is present even if tears are behind the eye,
Today I see a rainbow amid a stormy sky.

What else can we do but stay positive, the Ukrainians have shown the world how brave and resilient they are, I together with the whole world applaud them as they fought and reacted to Russian invasion with exemplary strength of character. I love your two repetitive lines at the end of each stanza, very moving.. Hugs and blessings Jennifer.
