It's Clearly a Present Danger

I can easily remember my younger days, Where national pride was always on display. And when horrid & unforgivable events occurred, We'd say, 'That would never happen in America', And it was true, on that day. Well guess what folks, that claim may rarely Be used, in the turbulent days ahead. Since it's going on right in front of us, both in Prior and present days, unless you've been dead. Because for those who've been on the sidelines, Choosing to avoid all the political games. They've allowed a charismatic tyranny to form, And its shape has taken many names. It has hidden well behind a shield of so-called integrity, With beliefs of votes stolen, from beneath and afar. While violently leading a fragile democracy, to new Depths, so it may be leveraged by feathers and tar. So as these huge lies are continually spread, by Fake, Fox, or Faux news groups every day. The foundations of trust in our very system, has Been sorely tested, and somewhat led astray. This ironic chapter stems from an initial view, That America has been weakened by prior events. And as a pandemic added fuel to the fire, the Flames of division spread, and spared no expense. Yet if our faith and beliefs are to reside in our strengths, They must be exercised so as to not atrophy. Since any weakness may be disadvantaged, to dispel These false narratives, and avoid a catastrophy.
