It's a wonderful wife

My wife can three languages speak
Her Italian has a mystique
With English hooray
She has a cachet!
Though her Crochet texts mimic Greek

Hello Duke, I saw this poem in your list and to say that you have a wonderful wife that you can travel with that will help with the languages. I will be retiring in May and my wife and I are going to take a Viking river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest for 15 days in June. Most of the countries that we are going to speak German. I am now trying to improve my German. When I was in the Army, I lived in Wurzburg, Germany, and that was many years ago. Your wife has to feel blessed! . Winter Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Daniel, that river cruise sounds like it will be fun!! Yes, my wife helps a lot when we travel for language reasons and because she has not much baggage (in many ways). We try to go a bit off the beaten path and sample local life when possible. BTW, congratulations on your upcoming retirement. It's a huge transition but it sounds like you have plenty of purpose in life. We were just in Amsterdam recently, and they have electric buses that make it easy to get around. Of course, you will have great quarters!!!

Andrea, yes absolutely true. She crochets blankets, scarves, and other creations and gives them away. She recently made a scarf, blanket, and pillow with a cat stitch! I'll add a picture of it so you can appreciate it.

Tom, she is indeed. I struggle with a lot of things too, but we just go on trucking as long as the tires don't blow out. Merry Christmas to you Tom. You have a great sense of humor and great spirit! Smiles!!
