It'Ll Be Better Tomorrow
Open my eyes,
drag myself out of bed,
look outside, and see that...
once again I have beat the sun up.
I sit alone in the darkness,
uselessly hoping that light will reach me where I sit.
I know that if I don’t try
clarity will never arrive,
and I will be forced to live
in an illusion of darkness for the rest of my days.
Never seeing what true light can provide.
One foot hits the floor
another joins,
A groan escapes
quickly replaced by a smile.
Finally I stand,
ready to face another day.
If today day is bad,
then I didn't reach far enough
and just have to try again tomorrow.
