It wouldn't be my son

"He shouldn't be doing that."

"You're the only person he's around, so if he's angry it's probably because of you." 

"You used to be strong, I told you you were strong. I told you that was good. I think that's gone now."

"He loves you tons, he'd be so sad if you left."

"I'd be so sad if you left."

"Don't lose yourself - if you don't feel like you, you should leave."

"I really hope you guys don't break up. He loves you."

"You guys remind me of his father and I - don't ever break up, you're going to regret it for life." 

"He's gotta quit drinking. He wouldn't be like that if it wasn't for the booze."

"I don't know why he would be violent, he didn't grow up in an angry household..."

"Well he didn't learn it from ME."
