It Was a Dark Night

It was a dark night Not that it was that dark It was a dark night * It rained Should I run? Should I stroll? * I could get soaking wet I could suffer; slowly It was a dark night * I looked at the moon I looked at the stars It was a dark night * I knew where I was going It felt like I had lost my way It was a dark night * I didn’t feel strong; almost feeble Raging againt the autumn breeze It was a dark night * Rainddrops kept falling Not only those drops that hit the tarmac It was a dark night * I remembered a night in London After bedtime After closing time * It had been a hot summer It rained; cooling us down She started dancing * My mind was set; on: Getting her out of Those wet clothes * It was a dark night Until I thought of her In the rain
