It Touched Me

It touched me this morning!
Unknowing
And not expecting,
It entered through my bedroom window.
I was not sure what it was,
But, yet it touched me.
At first, just my face felt it,
Then my body felt the warmth
Of the touch, the heat.
It was all powerful.
It made me do
That, which I had not
Wanted to do.
It made me jump up.
It made me scream,
“What time is it?!?
I’m late for work!”
Thank God
For His touch
With the fingers
Of sunshine’s rays.
