It Takes the First Step

It takes the first step

I sit at home after losing a car
On a Sunday no way to church by far
You sent a friend who worships elsewhere
To gather a load in her car with no fare
I am delivered to attend church in the evening
To get rid of my hurt
My feelings are involved in this; I owe a debt
Did you know you helped me?
…It takes the first step

Such a beautiful, uplifting poem, Carolyn! I feel you ... missing church is an awful feeling. The lovepraiseglory given to the Savior ... the fellowship so milk-and-honey fulfilling. Ain't nothing comparable to being inside the worship walls of the heart of overcoming joy. Truly angelic write. Ty for sharing the love of charity. May love light your path in life always.

Btw ... this is the beautiful song I was listening to while reading this beautiful poem. It's called, "If It Takes Forever" by Michael e. Love and more love always. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Guym4_7cfjU
