It Started With A Blank Canvas

A pair of newborn eyes Peeked out of a pink blanket To find a hospital room ceiling And all was white It started with a blank canvas A life had begun Simple finger paintings at first Graduated to a brush The top corners filled in The middle, the edges The rest lay bare Brushes at the ready A palette of paints aplenty Just sitting there, drying Is there time to finish Fill in the blanks The stark staring emptiness Before she sees white again Found on a hospital room ceiling.

Nice to read some of your free verse. This is where my writing goes typically, so it’s nice to read others FV

Intresting discription. But it puts me in the mind of a Rap song where the lyric goes into "Looking at the roof of the church." get it ? think about it.
