It Should Not Matter

It should not matter
Should it
Facing life rejections
over and over again
it's kind of the norm
in everyday situations
problems do spawn

Overall
It should not matter
when a friend turns their back
In freezing me out
My life is hard to hack
Why should another person
have such influence
over my one and only life

I turn to others for advice
Hoping they know the answer
Too few plaudits and
many covert lies

Realising the factor
is
Head unbowed
Believe in myself
find my way through
Disregard the meanies
and start anew
