It Seems To Be Snowing

It seems to be snowing but it’s aphids. They look like cotton or dandelion fluff. You wouldn’t want them on your lashes. They cling to grass, screens & other stuff. You wouldn’t think aphids are alive, ‘til you take a closer look - they unhook and fly away, like the great hymn. Still, I first saw them at Dad’s. They’re off the hook. On plants, ladybugs enjoy them as a snack. Oh no! Pesticide is sometimes needed when aphids gather in great numbers and unpack. To memorialize them, I scribble with a poet’s pen. 10/14/2022

They are such a nuisance! I like the advice Joe gave, I do hate poison, though I am afraid for some bugs I will have to call the exterminator, the spider terminator!! I do hate to kill the good bugs though :(

They don’t seem to be bothering my dad at the moment. Yikes…spiders. We had a huge web in our driveway!

And fine poetry, as this is, sticks to lashes also, opens the eyes and heart. No pesticides, please! Plenty of tobacco, mixed with a sort of water, here in the West.

Funny you mention those aphids... I was just thinking about them... No kidding... They're all over broccoli, cauliflower, and lettuce these days, which is why I buy none of the above anymore (except for frozen, aphid-removed broccoli and cauliflower clorets and 'de-bugged' lettuce (costs more). ~ Mr. Kosher Consumer

Mr. Science was right. He saw them under the microscope, no doubt. Good for him! And good for you.

I would never have know but Mr. Science (Dad) told me they were alive but he didn’t know what they were or perhaps he tricked me into looking them up.

Seems so! My dad told me about them as they were flying onto his patio screen. Curious little “bug”gers! ;)
