From Wikipedia: Tim Tam is a brand of chocolate biscuit introduced by the Australian biscuit company Arnott’s in 1964. It consists of two malted biscuits separated by a light hard chocolate cream filling and coated in a thin layer of textured chocolate.

it’s the little things like tim tams.
having gotten my attention, the box
hops into my shopping cart, but not
before I cartwheel and squeal, certain
that one of the poets has nurtured
my senses with an Australian accent.

i’m handing them out, like pamphlets,
according to the number in the family.
of course, they’re crunchy and cold.
my husband, straight away, placed
the box in the fridge. U.S.A. all the way.

my neighbor came over for coffee.
before she left, i handed her three treats.
she gasped, herself a published author,
she had just gleamed in a current read
of munchable tim tams…indeed! of course.

to treat my bible study group friends,
i will have to grab another, unopened box,
hand them out for free. the delightful share
the Word and Aussie-awesome treats,
alongside hot water and teabags. cartwheeling…

Kim, was in Australia a few years ago and had some. They are good. You have an amazing way of describing something good.

You know Kim.. I have never eaten a 'tim tam' Wham..! Hmm.?? It would have been because My mother was a proficient cook..' always Baking 'welsh pancakes' well not always yet Lots of cooking going on..Fruit cakes with Stout added enough to burst the new metal Containers bought for the job..A very opininated Woman my mother and strong..In a fight she never Pulled hair..It was fists toe to toe, i only saw it Once.! Other times were before my birth.' she knocked the sister in law out..She was picked

On by the sister in law though.. Mum had locked herself inside Sister in law stood outside saying (shes too scared to come out.) Wow.!! Anyway i don't spose she liked tim tams?? I'd only heard of them In the 2000s people phoning in And a uk dj made some mileage out of it.. A little familiy history For you there.!

I remember when these Aussie tim-tams were certified kosher, not too many years ago. Delicious!

Are they something like biscuits? I am not familiar with this name. It sounds so tempting. I am sure it is an ideal snack for an evening tea or coffee. Beautifully written Kim.
