It Must Hurt To Be a Poetry Soup Poet

C T , I am sorry to hear about all this. I do remember a long time ago when you posted a blog and someone rudely attacked you. So I know you are not making this up. Stay strong, and be proud always of who you are. Nobody has the right to judge anyone else!!

Hi CT.....first of all, I came to thank you very much for the honor you gave my poem in your contest, so thank you very much! I was pleased to know you liked it. But I have not been familiar with you on a personal level, and was so sorry to see by this writing above, that you have been a target of unkindness. Please know that many of us here wish this to be a more friendly place. I hate to think such cruel and uncalled for behavior will ever succeed to win over kindness. Best wishes CT. !!

Hey CT, Don't let the bleepity-bleeps get you down. You are an important contributor to the site by organizing contests and posting your excellent poems. Anyone who enters a poem should accept in advance whatever verdict they receive, regardless--and anyone who doesn't get that idea should not enter a contest. It's an inherently subjective process, anyway. Anyway, don't worry about those unkind individuals, whoever they are. Just keep doin' your thing and don't be discouraged. Cheers, Brian

Hi CT, I'm with Broken Wings, be yourself and write as you wish to do. I sometimes think there are too many purists here and so many people just stick with their friends. Then like you say, there are the attacks. You find your own way to enjoy your experience here and as i said, in all things be yourself. If people would just take these contests as fun, it's like win at all costs. Now, i don't care if i win, if i place or if i get an NA. It doesn't matter to me. Be happy....Vlad.

Chase, I feel your hurt in every word, because I have been on the end for that sword. I have always been shocked at how cruel people can be, because these are not children, these are suppose to be grown ups. To take these contests so seriously that you block someone, that is so wrong. My only advice is, to be your own kind of beautiful and in a world where you can be anything, be yourself , I recently wrote a poem called the Poet's Gook, that sort of sums up how I handle this now~
