It Is, What It Is

It Is, What It Is It was said to me last summer That I say, “It is, what it is” A lot of thoughts, since then simmer Have I settled, by all I’ve missed? Yet, settled, is NOT my chosen Word or phrase that would best define Circumstantial change: unspoken I accept it, and realign There are many things in life that Happen outside of our control You take each day the best you can But, not always, as you are told But don’t lie, steal, or cheat what’s right Your obligation to yourself Have faith to know, when it's time: fight For, what is…. Awesome write, Jeffrey, and something everyone can learn from ... when all is said-and-done, we are faced with ourselves and how we have treated others in this life - the trail we have blazed - to look back and be proud of that, I think, is the most we can hope for, all-in-all. Love is the true wealth, and the blessings that it seeds. This is very thoughtful and powerful, and I enjoyed it thoroughly! Blessings! :-)

Thank you so much Gregory. I have always tried to do the right thing and have faith in others to also do the right thing, but nice guys finish last! At least my conscience will be clear! We just have to learn as we go, so NOT to be taken advantage of.
