It Is Not Yet

Bearing my soul was not for the faint hearted
Until I realised that I am stronger
Loved my whole extended family with all my heart
Until I realised that some of them will betray and continue to do so regardless

Lifting this veil from my eyes
Seeing the truth as it is
It had always been there
Staring at me
The timing was not yet the time

Always gave without expecting anything in return
Until I realised that some will never appreciate it
Loved deeply and fearlessly
Until I realised that sometimes love on it is own, is never enough and you have got to have other ingredients

Healing takes time and time takes healing
So as searching for the truth
Break it down and down it breaks
So as getting back on the saddle
