It Hurts

The pain goes deep
But is invisible
To all who see
No one knows
The suffering
And hurt it causes
So much anguish
Frustration and upset
But our face hides
The truth inside
Everyone assumes
All is okay
So you just
Keep it concealed
Allowing others to notice
We are suffering
Is surely a weakness
That shouldn’t
Be shown
Smile sweetly
Whilst you crumble
Slowly plummeting
From the torment
Despair and sorrow
Then beyond all hope
Someone takes your hand

each of us knows pain in our own way. Those who have others that recognize the hidden pain are truly blessed. Great piece.

It seems I didn't invent hiding pain.. For myself, to show pain is to be weak.. Love the ending. Nice to have someone who cares.

Far too often showing pain etc is seen as showing weakness, when in fact it can show great strength. Thank you, yes it is nice to have someone who cares
