It Hurts
The pain goes deep
But is invisible
To all who see
No one knows
The suffering
And hurt it causes
So much anguish
Frustration and upset
But our face hides
The truth inside
Everyone assumes
All is okay
So you just
Keep it concealed
Allowing others to notice
We are suffering
Is surely a weakness
That shouldn’t
Be shown
Smile sweetly
Whilst you crumble
Slowly plummeting
From the torment
Despair and sorrow
Then beyond all hope
Someone takes your hand
