It Be Like Those Kinda Times
The rumblings of thunder
Appearing out of nowhere
It was sunny just seconds ago
Ran inside the abandoned beach house
Right near the shoreline
Trying to create a new normal
In this abnormal time
The swishes of grey hues
Swirled into a huge mess
There’s no sighting
Of anyone else
Nothing else
The once crowded benches
Now deserted and dusty
I don’t hear any cheery voices
Just the whistling of the
Leafy sakura trees
Seems like a lifetime ago
The long long long
Road
They stunt on
Like it’s their catwalk
Guys and girls alike
Checking themselves out
In the dark tinted windows of the
Library
Not for educational purposes
The simple social interactions
The wave to acquaintances
The friendly hellos and hi’s
The tiniest things
That didn’t mean much then
But actually mean so much
It be like those kind of times
