It Ain'T Easy Being Married

We haven’t got much money
We drive an older car
We still call each other “Honey”
We still make each other laugh (he’s funny!)
We fought small battles, but never a war
We tried and erred
We always shared
It was easy --- we cared
What’s best about our marriage
Is not hard to put in words
We simply listen to each other’s thoughts
We’re each other’s better half
We’re what “together” really means
We are a team
Hey!  It’s easy being married!
