#2 Rumi Quote: If you are irritated by every rub, How will your mirror be polished? ________________________________________ Be not perturbed when life presents hurdles, Nothing worthwhile comes sans struggle; Do not tag every challenge unjust or unfair, Blemish on your mirror, not a reason to despair. Read not a rub, always, as a rub of critique, If it’s uninformed, there isn’t much to heed; Stay the course, amity speaks for your deeds, Judge not harshly when repentance pleads. Endeavor mindfully, to learn from mistakes, Sow in every failure, seeds of sweet success, Find your happiness on other side of regrets, Be not irritated by life’s every give-and-take. Reject ego and pride; introspect, reflect, Mend your ways, adapt to realms of change, Look in the mirror, measure your progress: Is your today, better than your yesterday?

Today, I learned from mistakes made yesterday and tomorrow, I will strive to do the best I can. I like this thought: ' Do not tag every challenge unjust or unfair. ' There's so much truth within. You grow from those challenges or obstacles placed in your path, and learn from them as well. You've created a masterpiece, Vijay. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Truly, those blemishes grow us. We get through them…we are stronger, braver if we walk those hot coals, prayerfully believing though we are on fire. Blessings, dear one!

Hello Vijay, I love how your poem speaks wisdom, showing us how to embrace life's challenges with resilience. It's a call to introspect, to learn from mistakes, and to measure our progress not by comparison but by personal growth. I like how each hurdle is a stepping stone, each failure a lesson, leading us toward the happiness we seek. Vijay it's a poetic beautiful reflection on the journey of self-improvement and acceptance. - Blessings, Daniel

Your ending poses a question that is hard to answer. Many would be indifferent to the reply. Loved your argument.

I see we used the same quote for this contest.. It is one of my favourite quotes from Rumi.. You have written a very good response to the quote, explaining how you feel about to and have used wise words here... Best of luck in the contest..

What a profound and wise write this is dear Vijay, i felt like i needed to hear those words or read them as they resonate so strongly, a reminder much needed for many, i especially love the lines “ Sow in every failure, seeds of sweet success, Find your happiness on other side of regrets, Be not irritated by life’s every give-and-take” hits strong and i love the alliterations too.” Reject ego and pride; introspect, reflect,” ego ruins it all. A fave it is; and best wishes for the contest.

Vijay, This is an outstanding work that dives into human reactions, your commitment to raising awareness, and your position as an empathic advocate in a world that frequently dismisses the pain of others. The poetry is full of complex diction, vivid imagery, and moving phrases. Use poetic tropes such as metaphor, alliteration, and personification to effectively explain your perspective. BOL for the contest
