Is Your Hat In the Ring Yet

Have you tossed your hat in the ring yet? Or will you continue to wait for a safer bet. Have you put a toe in the water yet? Or will you wait for a pair of waders so you won't get wet. Have you bought that plane ticket yet? Or will you be waiting for your relatives to be further upset. Have you joined that club yet? Or are you waiting until you are in a better mind-set. Can you tell me when and how you will change your mind-set? So, I can give you an entry ticket, To the game of life, before you become in concrete set, Or shall I keep it in my pocket, For someone who is a safer bet.

Wow! You're the Mass Rhyme Master.! Thanks, David, for being my ticket to witness your writing. Among fifteen or so of yours, this is one of the stand outs. Very cool lateral thinking.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment. Being on the soup and getting to read so many others work helps I am sure, though it is a slight mystery as to where the words come from sometimes. I just feel drawn to computer and they seem to flow. One day I might get them published but I self published a book on my thirty years as an early childhood teacher and I am still out of pocket on that. Hope you are in a safe place isolated in a time when too many are homeless. best regards David In NZ

Clever! Conscience-triggering, but I think I'll wait until I'm 100 and be the first centenarian to run for president! I'll make the cover of AARP,

Nice to know you will be posting poetry for a while yet. At 100 you will need plenty of soup to sustain you. Thanks for gracious comment. Happy 100th in advance David in NZ
