Is My Mask In Place

Is my mask in place? Do I appear normal? But am I their normal? Will I pass? I could announce myself in a variety of interesting ways and explain myself by showing them my doctor's notes But am I not vulnerable enough? Do I not already have enough labels? Do I need to give them another reason to detest me? Do I want them to know how truly different I am? Is my mask in place? Is yours? What about Sylvia's mask? And Tom's? We all need them. Not just one of us.

We all have a different mask for everyone we meet. Everyone has their own views on how we look at one another. Great write, Caren!

We all must play our part. But as they say, 'May you live in interesting times.' Being older, I find I no longer need a mask though. Take me or leave me. Have a great day my friend.

I have so many masks, David. So very many. Not daring to show my true self to many.

I had not thought of that, but the bag over the head might have been dealing with my subconscious mind. Sure.

They are not easily procured; you have to build them yourself, Arturo. I am so glad you have not had to do it.

Yes, it is but you are never going to be able to retrieve it. We are fierce and we have teeth we have not broken yet.

Excellent, Caren. One of your best. It begs the question for each of us, I believe. You are a fearless lady and courageous. Bravo! Love your comment on my "Parents and Parenting." It speaks of my experiences. Thanks for the stop by. / M
