Is It True

I dreamt, I met your sweet pleasant self.
In the solitude of the early hours at work.
Could you have thought; I would not know
A sweet friend with a ravishing smile.

I may have blinked, could have sighed,
Mumbled words I scarce would know.
But, wasn’t it the twinkle in your eyes
That set me to daze of the charms I beheld.

I only saw the yellows the pinks and the whites,
A mixture pleasant with a wee dot on the fore.
But then, yours was the secret smile, I know it now.
And I, being the greatest fool you ever met.

Thought knights never dream I know it straight;
But a lively mirage repeats itself again.
