it used to be that we could believe in happilly ever after
it used to be that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
now we see atrocities on every channel on tv
yet we still believe
children used to run in the streets playing duck duck goose
now were constantly reminded that our neighbor might be on the loose
fighting rights from wrongs using justifications to get by
yet we still believe
corruption starting on the food chain line going to our kids
molestors disguising themselves as school monitors not registering with the state
texting becoming sexting and school proms are x rated
yet we still believe
these are the times we live in and the future for our kids
old fashion values and beliefs no longer exist
holy matrimony til death do us part husbands murdering their wives
yet we still believe
what will it take to make this world again safe
where car jackers dont elude
and diversity and freedom rule
i still believe do you
