There isn't a day that goes by
that I don’t ask myself
when that day will come
when I can say
Is it really you
Because if it is you
I have waited all my life
to say these precious words to you
And when that time does arrive
This is what I would say to you
Are you truly the soul mate
of my dreams or is this
just another passing moment
of wishful thinking
Am I day dreaming
or can it truly be you
If and when
that day does arrive
I know that you
will fill my heart
with an abundance of love
And to be honest with you
I have waited all my life
for this moment to take place
so that I can share my love with you
And hopefully some day really soon
I will be able to feel the beauty of your
heart and spirit next to me
Because then I wouldn’t
just be dreaming about you
Because I would finally have you
next to me
If it is really you
Then you would truly
have filled my heart
with an overwhelming joy
And this would be the time
when I would honestly be able to say
these precious words to you
I love you
Because I will have finally been blessed
beyond my dreams in every way with you
And then I would finally know that you weren't
just a dream but that you were a dream come true
When that day does arrive
I will know that the time
has come to share every day
with you
And it would mean everything and more to me
to know that the rest of our lives
would be filled with so much happiness
Because of the love that we would
be able to share together
would be an absolute miracle
Is it really you
Because if it is you
all of my prayers
will have been answered
Because the good Lord will
have blessed me with you
by bringing the soul mate
of my dreams into my life
this very moment
Is it really you or am I
just day dreaming again
and waiting for the soul mate
of my dreams to awaken
my inner heart
with a brand new beginning
