Is It Love
I’m getting to know his heart
It’s always in my thoughts
If he is filled with gentle compassion
Does he care about self-expression?

I want to know what he thinks
What he thinks about the most
Does he truly enjoy this conversation
Or is he just being kind and caring?
~
I wish I could see inside of him
Know his feelings and wisdom
Feel close to him like I’ve never been
Will he ever let me know his heart?
~
I can’t possibly tell him how I feel
He’s a sensation that doesn’t even seem real
So very tender and alive and sincere
Does it matter that I care about him?
~
I wait for the moment to come around
When he will see just how he impresses
Me with his kindness, good heart and love
Is he as filled with hope as I find that I am?
~
I wonder if he’ll give me his truth today
I want him to know that I’m just what I say
And I yearn to know him like I never have
Will this relationship find a way to work out?
~
I don’t want to push him into anything
If it’s something he wants I will be happy
But if he only wants a true friend I can be that
Will he find a way to answer my questions?
~
I will keep him in a dream and if that comes true
I’ll find a way to show him the absolute truth
That everything inside me longs to give fully
Will this fantasy of hope become a reality of love?
