Is It Ever Really Silent

Is it ever really silent
in the light or in the dark?
Out in the white cold air,
the wind still whistles there.

Is it ever really silent
in your sleep at night?
Tumbling dreams rushing by,
as nighttime flies.

Can it ever really be silent
with little voices all around?
They chatter about in the stillness,
as life goes on, less and less.
