Irrelevant Thoughts Within the Attic
Isolation accompanies me within the garret of the ungrateful
A resented window cast sunlight showing filth leisurely suffocate my splendor
Developing rot slowly slivers toward loosened joints of earlier times
Times of Contentment
When I was praised, pleasured, and polished
When children enchantingly traced my design with fascination
When I stood proud, seeing rose tint cheeks spawned of complements based upon me
When sunlight was awaited in displaying perfection
(Daylight fades. The chair awakes of her memoirs, and prepares to pray before she sleeps)
God. May one day I hold the pleasure of being noticed again
Caressed by children, complemented by elders
God, may one day polish bathe this battered frame
Prosperous oaks shown in sunlight once more
God, May one day I’m able to be blessed with tears
Able to cry once a day in attempts to drown myself within irrelevant years
