Invisible Scars of a Dark Existence

Invisible scars
of a darker existence
fearfully hidden
into these wounds
if indescribable pain
invoking death...
are you exchanging
all veritable hope
for eternal condemnation?

Invisible scars
concealed by tears
that hastily erase
the feeling of shame
of a surrendering spirit
imprisoned by guilt...
are you far bolder
than that scary soldier
abandoning his comrades
in the middle of the battle?

Invisible scars
that is the reminder
of a dark existence
unable to escape
the dungeon of despair...
could you exhale the breath
of freedom and run?

If the fixed mindset
of Humankind leans
towards darkness
denying the presence
of a God mightier
than any thunder...
why do we deny His power?
Why do invisible scars
show signs of anguish...
when faith can make
them disappear?
