Verbal abuse is just as bad and just as deadly as physical abuse. People who do this to others are so unsure of their own self worth that they have to abuse family or friends in order to feel better about themselves. What they don't realize is that by doing this they cause the love and respect these people once had for them to die. fear is NOT respect or love. fear is in fact hatred. Never allow anyone to abuse or misuse you. It won't help them and it most certainly will not help you. It will not get better either. The longer you stay in an abusive relationship the worse it will get. Run don't walk in the other direction and don't look back. THEN AND ONLY THEN things will start to get better.
Not all wounds are visible,
To the naked eye,
But that means not that they don't hurt,
Because my eyes are dry.
Not all tears are visible,
To casual passers by,
But that means not that there's no pain,
Or that I haven't cried.
Not all scars are visible,
For pride conceals it well,
And there are few who wish to know,
About your personal hell;
But they are there, the pain is real,
Although it's all inside,
But that's where it can hurt the most,
Inside where it can hide,
And feed upon your spirit,
And feast upon your pride,
Until self worth is finally gone,
And your soul has died.
