Invisible Path of Indecision
Heart ignited
at crossroad
running idle
fearful to switch to drive
to secret voices attentive
replaying failures
and pain of ridicule
imprinted in joints
and marrow of spine
curved by authority
perfection stick
whipping and biting
with power of tongue
for not arriving first
to finish lines
retraced while running.
Sad heart and sick mind
blinded by fumes
of running idle
afraid to switch to drive
not discerning
