Into the Sunset
Into the sunset
I could drive forever
Searching for home
Scattered among ghost lights
But when even the stars
Are buried in a cemetery
What light can guide me home
And I'm a little scared
That I'm running out of gas
As trees shiver on either side of the road
They're nothing but a blur
In my soul
I can feel myself getting closer
I pull over and get out
Look at me standing there in the moonlight
But there you are
Standing there with stars in your hands
As if they were balloons
You handed them to me with a smile
I once thought I died inside
But the truth is
My heart was always home
Safe with you
