Intermission: Inside Out
"Inside Out"
Blue bird breaks the cage
when brain bleeds wild
not tame,
into cerebral skies
Angel wings enfold Icarus to sing
Paint my mind with
your dreams, kaleidoscope colours
become gold and silver now shimmering,
like Klimt you stroke my canvas
to quench and deliver, to shine in the glistening
Light arrives on your tongue
Lips whisper words in a dark room
high notes played between sheets
You are the heat I am the monsoon
You are the Sun I am the Moon
Pulling tide from an ocean our room
Waves ripple over fine Egyptian white cotton
the wanting to be coloured
chords like ivy encircle our bodies
all poetry and music in motion
I am milk,
you are all thirsty hot kitchen devotion
Music made and Pages written
in a warm bed your story is just beginning
Wild roses entwined, you each pierce the other,
the thorn by your side
to bloom and then, like a new day, you open wide
to the other’s Gold in Blue Sky
Souls transfer on a kiss
Inside Out two souls
become one possessed
one cannot shine without the other
a complement, the other would sorely be missed
a compliment, the other would sorely be missed
Escape the room Inside
Outside a jail break made
freedom flies home today
when brain bleeds wild
not tame, into cerebral skies
inside from the outside
you smile
smile you
outside from the inside
Twin mirrors reflecting
Gold Light
and
Blue Skies
