Intelligent Mind
When you are blessed
with an intelligent mind
People are always
three steps behind
The talk on their breaks
Makes my head ache
How much meaning
is there in what you
ate for dinner last night
or how much sleep you got
For God's sake
What about the rising of
the Phoenix or how many
more planets we've discovered
Why carpet fibers tickle babies
noses and are toxic
Why molecules shrink
when under pressure
Why space time travel could
be possible in the near future
Why artists have an affinity
for rhyming
Is it in their genes
So many things to talk about
than what you had for dinner
