Inspiration

I dreamt of you last night.
you were a meteor
falling into my atmosphere,
and you lit up the darkness
so bright
the moon's face was black.
I felt her jealousy
over me
to behold such light.
I sought to keep you,
so I placed you
upon my tongue
and swallowed you whole.
I swallowed you into my heart.
I took you into me.
so we could be
whole.
