Am I the next sheet of paper
In your jeweled notepad
'So glad I made it to the top

'Still seeking atonement
In that very special moment
When the tip of your pen will drop

Tattoo your heart on me
Word angel of poetry
I'll be so proud to carry
Your Extraordinary
So Please
Tattoo your heart on me

In sweet anticipation
Of soothing inspiration
Let your warm current..... cover me today

The moment I will treasure
And I'll serve at your pleasure
Without you there is nothing I can say 
 
Tattoo your heart on me.......

Lyric Man August 20, 2018 at 7:00 AM Wonderful imagery Chuck.. I think of the paper’s anticipation knowing the song writer’s brilliant reputation. But then the paper’s depression having but a few words or lines written before it’s balled up and thrown in a trash can full of other such disheartened papers. Only the writer and his pen know how many papers must be exercised to discover true inspiration!
