"Inside the Hurricane"
Inside the Hurricane starts small a minuet waltzing cadence like clandestine lovers whispered reverently soft becomes hard and slow for a fall under dark cloudy covers boiling over to tangled tango in the burning brain there the homeless Heart meets it’s counterpart in it’s enticing suede labyrinthine cave safe against a wall balanced and entranced held fast Underground begs not her Ocean Tsunami waves inside his broken Breaks the Hurricane Love floods through waving wet Sea Grass Silver Green cuts sharp her alter chalice kissed Vows read and spoken red Inside the Hurricane windows crystal clear, seamless Legs of a journey open (LadyLabyrinth/2019)

Stay safe Connie within Hurricanes that hit Islands of your beautiful Hawaii - but never stay safe with your internal imaginings and writing. Much Love, Leanne.

Congratulations on your POTD. I have been in a number of hurricanes. They do start small and seem to waltz around. Love is like a hurricane......

I read the following a few days back, "The eye is so calm because the now strong surface winds that converge towards the center never reach it. The coriolis force deflects the wind slightly away from the center, causing the wind to rotate around the center of the hurricane (the eye wall), leaving the exact center (the eye) calm." My eyes are calm and focused on exactly where I am and where I am going. So thank you Paula. I would absolutely find it fascinating to be close to a hurricane, or tornado, but absolutely in reality, would not want to be placed in such frightening and life threatening a circumstance. Mind you I could equate that with circumstances in my life that have occurred. lol. x

Rico, uber Romantic Warrior, long time. Must visit your creations, which as you know, I find brilliantly abstract and unique. I am ecstatic that you could appreciate the sensuous phrasings ... however, the poem is 'complex' in construction and meaning. I sent this explanation to a friend yesterday. "I wrote the Hurricane Inside poem then found the music later and it fit perfectly. The poem has two layers to it. One is the male and female side of my psyche or the reader’s psyche finding each other, the brain and the heart, through isolation and internal transformation, which comes about through a hurricane of pain and eventually washed over with love (through forgiveness, or need to Love, I guess)...but you are correct, I also aligned it with two people, the missing parts of each other, finding each other, physically and mentally through sex." Kindest regards, and much love, Poetess. But because I like to wear the pants, maybe I should sign off Poet. Sometimes. Leanne, will suffice.

That is so bizarre. Well not really, considering where we are. I wrote a poem in 2008 and I attached the 'Army of Me' to it. Perhaps I should post it here...I don't think you're all ready for that one. Love it that you love Army of Me. x
