Inside My Aqua Dream
Inside my aqua dream, a man, bright-eyed,
stood beckoning to me in ocean’s tide.
I saw him from the shoreline of a bay.
His eyes, reflecting blue of water’s spray,
were tinged with green, and I was mystified.
A wave came crashing, and it multiplied.
The man’s eyes shone like sea in sun of day,
and then I knew. . .on land I could not stay
inside my aqua dream.
The mesmerizing stranger spoke; I spied
a dolphin that appeared and gave a ride
to both of us. We clung to silver-gray,
and jumping on the ocean waves, away
we traveled. How I longed to ever glide
inside my aqua dream!
