Innocence Is Love's Mother

It is seen glowing in a little child's face,

Hatred still an unknown creature waiting in the darkness,

Love surrounds you with arms that ask for nothing,

Just the security of your embrace,

True understanding living in just a touch,

Reflected in eyes that smile sweet welcomes,

Born long before we took our first breaths,

Entirely devoid of any evil thought,

Riding free on compassion's timeless light,

The only existing healer of our spirits,

While cruelty slowly drowns,

In the vast ocean of Love's enormity.

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."
