Innocence
Look into my eyes.
What do you see?
It’s only me,
Who perceived the world differently?
Not black and grey,
But pure white as snow.
I still believe in fairies,
Dragons and unicorns.
A leprechaun with a pot of gold,
At the other side of the rainbow.
So why do you show me,
Things I don’t want to see?
Abused, naked women on a bed,
Bodies beaten to dead.
Humans killing each other.
With weapons and drugs,
Half naked women dancing with thugs.
Please, keep my innocence,
Let me remain a child.
I have plenty of time,
To grow and adapt in the wild.
