Written: June 25, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ Purple facets appear by the cease of the day. As the painter stroke of dusk paints the sky. There is only one star that makes a return. Its bright light was a soothing tune to discern. The moon thin crescent is visible. The nighttime clouds were miscible Akin to the deft brushwork of a painter. Building of divine splendor acquaint her Clouds dancing with grace and delight, In the tapestry of the evening, As if whispering secrets untold, Their movements are so enchanting. Sitting atop lookout road, A poet begins to compose, With pen and paper in hand, The journey of words unfolds. Ink-stained echoes cram the page, Each line is a story, a dream, A symphony of emotions, From the depths of the poet's soul, it seems. Words transcend boundaries, Of time and space they roam, Carrying the poet's essence, To places, they call home.

A brilliant poetic picture you've painted! Favorite stanzas are 3 & 4 but the whole piece envelopes the reader's mind and soul. Bravo Sotto!

The gentleness of your words would not allow this to be read off a cold screen. I printed it and laid my head softly on my favourite pillow, to soak myself in what the poet saw and watch as ink spilled on the paper in words so dream filled, listening to the symphony of the essence of places called home. sigh, no words I could utter could do this justice.

Purple facets, what a great and unique awakening in a poem! Interesting: The nighttime clouds were miscible Akin to the deft brushwork of a painter…lovely the entry of the poet into the poem and the transcendent feelings in the last lines.
